What I Want To Do With Life- Career

I am graduating Catholic Memorial School on May 22nd at Holy Name Parish Church. My last day of school is May 6th. I will be attending University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I will be in the business school and will be majoring in business. I am excited to start this journey in my life. I will do big things. 

The CM Experience

I have been a student at Catholic Memorial for the last 6 years. I came to the school in seventh grade and I have been here ever since. My experience has been pretty good and it has been good to me. I have made good friends and made some memories. I am graduating this year and will be apart of the Class of 2014'. May 6th is my last class day and finally after 6 years, May 22 I will be graduating and receiving my diploma from Richy Chizz.

V For Vendetta

V For Vendetta

V For Vendetta was a pretty good movie. The movie was about a social "terrorist" who attacked the British government because they were corrupt. He kills all of the government that mistreated him while he was in some type of camp. His room number was "V" which is 5 in Roman Numerals. His signature mark was a scarlet rose. The movie was pretty good and very action packed. The ending was crazy with the whole building blowing up. My favorite part was the ending fight scene with all the daggers and guns. It was crazy.

Senior Service Day 4

Yesterday at senior service I labeled and enveloped 3,000 letters to the Brigham and Women's Hospital Staff and Employees. I was there from 8-1 and all I did all day was label letters.

• The ending ruined the whole movie

• They should change the ending by starting over from scratch and brainstorming again.
• Maybe show what happened to the whole world

Overall this movie was not good and it may be one of the worst movies i have ever seen. It seems like they have a decent idea for a movie but A.I did not meet the mark.

Artificial intelligence is the intelligence exhibited by machines or software and the branch of computer science that develops machines and software with human-like intelligence. Computer technology is taking the world by storm, it is every where. It is in our schools, hospitals, work environments, and mostly everything you can think of. Everybody needs to get hip. Artificial intelligence is all over the world.

March Madness

This Thursday starts the mark for the March Madness 2014 NCAA Tournament. The final round game will be in Arlington, Texas. The number one teams are: Florida, UVA, Wichita State, and Arizona. My favorite Boston College sadly did not make the tournament but they will be back next year. If i had to pick a team to win going by stats I would say the Florida Gators will take home the championship. It should be interesting, every year there is always an upset and underdogs. Wichita State is overrated and have not beat a ranked team all season  and will show their true colors in the tournament. GO EAGLES

My first day of community service went very well. I already knew the work place because I work there over the summer. I did my service at the Brigham and Womens Hospital NICU which is where new born babies who are premature stay. I volunteered 8-1 and for most part of the time I folded baby blankets, face cloths, and sheets. Along with folding, I helped the nurses and managers if they asked me to do something

Wichita State Basketball

Wichita State

A big story in the world of sports is that the college basketball team Wichita State beat Indian State 83-69 to end the season 34-0 and won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. They will enter the March Madness NCAA Tournament as an undefeated and unstoppable team. The Shockers are a fan favorite to win the whole Tournament and remain undefeated. This team from Kansas is a force to be reckoned with.

Volunteering Hours

Community Service

For my community service I have to complete 40 hours of time. I am doing it at the Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. I will be helping out in the NICU. The NICU is where pre mature born babies are not ready to come home to their parents and must stay at the hosptial. NICU stands for Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit. I already work there as a part time job but for volunteering hours I will not be getting paid.

Sochi Olympics

The last two weeks in Sochi, Russia the XXII Winter Olympics were held. Many upsets and heartbreaks took place during these Olympics. Two of the most shocking upsets were in the hockey games and one of the snowboarding events. Popular snowboarder Shaun White for the United States of America did not medal in his event. It was a shocking and disappointing chain of events. Another shocking moment was the USA and also Russian men's hockey team did not medal. The US lost to Canada 1-0 in the qualifying gold medal round, and then lost to Team Finland in the bronze medal match. Canada took home the gold medal and Sweden came in second winning the silver. By the end of the Olympics, Team Russia came out with the most gold medals and also most medals combined. Although the results were no in the US's favor, the United States of America are still the best country in the world.

Flappy Bird Pulled?

Flappy Bird created Nyguen is pulling the popular smartphone app from the Apple Store. Many people are confused as to why this money making game is being deleted out of the blue. This creator made $50,000 a day and a whopping number of 50 Million smartphone users have downloaded this addictive app. A rumor from several sources claims that the creator Nyguen is "fed up" and "cannot handle all the popularity" that his popular app has brought to him. My opinion is that the creator could not handle all of his haters and plus possibly could be under a lawsuit because the new app resembles a world famous popular game known as Mario Bros. The game has the same exact green tubes and the famous clouds background. This creator is crazy to pull this app because of how much money it produced him. It will be interesting to see what news comes out as to why Nyguen deleted the app.

Media Day-Superbowl Commercials

During the Superbowl besides the game itself which the Seattle Seahawks demolished the Denver Broncos 43-8, a popular topic from Sunday was the commercials. Although it was a slow start for the commercials, before the end of the game, a world popular Budweiser commercial came on. It was about a puppy who befriends a horse. This puppy gets adopted and while the new owner is driving away, the horse chases the car and takes the puppy back. At the end of the commercial, the puppy is walking in front of a stampede of horses. Along with this commercial, a Doritos commercial was a popular favorite. This commercial started off with two young boys telling their mom they were not going to help with the groceries. Their mom showed a bag of Doritos and the kids faces were excited. The older brother tapped the little brothers head and chased for the Doritos bag, once the older brother got the bag he looked back and saw his brother riding their dog and stole the bag of Doritos with his lasso. Those were the two best Superbowl XLVIII commercials.

  Sketchup is current owned by Trimble Navigation, a mapping, surveying, and navigation equipment company.
  Sketckup was owned independently from 2000 to 2006 and by Google from 2006 to 2012.

MakerBot- 3D Printer

Good:

• This printer is used to make 3D objects
• This printer is very efficient and can change the face of technology
• MakerBot is very cool and is interesting

Bad and Ugly:

• This printer is very expensive
• Although it is cool, it is a little to much money to invest in a product
• If some technical procedures are not performed correctly, the product finish will not come out good

The MakerBot. is an incredible and perfect piece of technology for schools that have physics labs, computer science classes and also could result in new classed shaped around the MakerBot printer. Although it is very expensive, coming close to two thousand dollars, if the school has the right amount of resources for funds, purchasesing the MakerBot Replicator 2 printer is a very nice investment in the technology field. However, CM does not have the classes or programs for usage of this MakerBot printer, we have bigger technology problems to focus on such as the computers. Purchasing a two thousand dollar printer for 3D objects, although cool, is not needed at this time.

Form 1 3D Printing

FormLabs has created a new technology in Stereo-lithography. It is known as the From 1 3D Printer. It is a way to create structures and objects with the push of a button. The printer looks at a picutre, and with the push of a button and some materials, it creates the object into a 3D structure. The materials used are "neutral matte grey" liquid/paint and the printer its self. It cost roughly $3,300 and is a neat and incredible piece of technology.
